What You Will Do: L’Oréal USA seeks a Director to join the US Public Affairs team within the Corporate Affairs&Engagement Department. In this role, the Director will contribute to the advancement of the company’s strategic public affairs objectives through proactive advocacy and engagement with stakeholders. Role&Responsibilities: Partner with the Vice President of US Public Affairs and other team members to provide subject matter expertise in government relations, public policy, and stakeholder engagement. Monitor and analyze pending executive action, legislation, government policies, and competitor strategies for L’Oréal USA. Build and maintain strategic networks of internal stakeholders for cross-functional policy issue alignment. Build and maintain strong relationships with legislators, policymakers, NGOs, and key opinion leaders. Represent L’Oréal USA externally on priority policy issues at industry trade associations. Provide subject matter expertise to key business and corporate partners on policy issues. Identify opportunities for thought leadership on priority environmental policy issues. What We Are Looking For: Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs, Public Policy, Political Science, Political Communications, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. 7-10 years of experience within Federal or State Government, a Political Campaign, NGO, or Public Affairs/Communications consulting. Prior experience working on policy issues relevant to consumer goods products. Knowledge of the political process at the federal, state, and local levels. Strong executive presence and communication skills. Strong strategic thinking skills and business acumen. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
