Overview Dental One Associates of Waldorf is growing and we're hiring a Dental Hygienist for our office located in Waldorf, Maryland 20602. This is a full-time position working Mon (8:45-5:00), Tue, Wed&Thu (7:45-5:00), Fri (7:45-2:00). Part-time employment will also be considered. The candidate we hire will go through a short training program to ensure they feel confident and comfortable in their new position. Great for new grads We work closely as a team in our state-of-the-art facility, utilizing the latest technologies to ensure our patients receive superior care, while also ensuring our hygienists have what they need to do quality work. Previous experience as a hygienist is beneficial, but we encourage new hygiene grads to apply as well. The hygienist we hire must have an active hygiene license in the state of MD. New hygiene grads must be applying for a license soon. Our office is centrally located in Waldorf and is close to St. Charles residential area, Waldorf Town Center Mall, and many nice restaurants. Responsibilities Deliver periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services to improve the oral health of patients. Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and care in accordance with state guidelines. Conduct patient screening, medical history, and dental charting. Application of fluoride and protective sealants; removal of calculus, stain, and plaque. Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Active Hygiene license for the state of Maryland. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
