ICF is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to design, develop, and implement the best data analytics models utilizing complex technology to develop solutions for agency challenges and requirements. You will support the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) to fully leverage data to provide effective oversight of OJP grant awards and ensure compliance with federal grant requirements. This position is remote. This position requires travel to client offices, and to ICF offices in the DMV metro area (up to 10% travel). This position requires an active Public Trust security clearance with the Office of Justice Programs. Key Responsibilities: Engage stakeholders to understand agency needs and provide guidance to solve unique challenges using data science solutions. Develop custom data analytics solutions that are predictive and drive risk-based decision making and that employ state of the art AI and machine/deep learning computational technologies. Analyze and interpret large amounts of complex data to obtain actionable knowledge to solve business problems. Design and implement data visualization models to communicate statistical modeling results and business impacts. Communicate with stakeholders and present findings and conclusions of complex analytics in an understandable manner that is tailored for the audience. Your Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related analytical field. 7 years of data science experience ranging from data analytics design to deployment to implement business solutions based on data insights with expertise in data mining, pattern recognition techniques, machine and deep learning techniques, software or data development, algorithm development and coding using Python/R, or other similar languages. US citizenship required by federal government contract. This position requires a Public Trust security clearance. Applicants will be subject to government security investigation to obtain clearance prior to the start date. Additional qualifications we expect you to have: Experience working in big and small data environments, developing SQL databases and working in a cloud environment. Experience with leading, coaching, and mentoring other data analytics staff. Knowledge of the Department of Justice Financial Guide and OMB Uniform Requirements and other Office of Justice Programs grant-making policies, procedures, and administration. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, provide a high attention to detail, and respond to challenges with a high degree of adaptability with comfort in establishing new directions and managing and adapting to change. Demonstrated ability to foster partnership with multiple internal and external partners to help plan work, develop capacity, and ensure timely and effective project delivery Advanced communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work successfully in teams and with people of diverse cultural backgrounds. Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is: $84,533.00 - $143,706.00 Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
