Our government client is seeking a talented data analyst to join their team in Nashville, TN. Duties and Responsibilities Below is a list of responsibilities that—while not comprehensive—provides an overview of the duties of the Data Analyst in a contract capacity (through December 20, 2024): Ingest and prepare data within Google Big Query for use in Tableau dashboards. Develop and document requirements for one project including multiple Tableau visualizations Execute the project requirements and adjust the visualizations in response to multiple rounds of feedback. Reorganize the data within Google Big Query for the purposes of long-term storage and effective annual updates to the project dashboards. Data entry to support the activities above, as needed. Skills and Qualifications: The candidate should have at least a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of work experience. In addition, the candidate should possess the following qualifications: Intermediate skills and experience wrangling unstructured data (additional experience with database design preferred, experience with Google Cloud Platform and Big Query a plus). Experience engaging with customers to develop project requirements for dashboards Intermediate skills and experience with data visualization techniques and software, including Tableau. Experience writing, interpreting, and applying business rules to data. Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities. Ability to think strategically, problem-solve, juggle multiple priorities, and remain attentive to details. Excellent communications skills, including an ability to communicate with a diverse audience (verbally and in writing) that includes both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
