Dailies Operator / Colorist - Santa Monica Local Hero is seeking a dailies operator for work starting shortly in the new year. Responsibilities include: • Syncing camera images with audio • Applying LUTs and CDL values accurately according to Production notes • Refining primary color grades • Providing ALE and other database files and accurate notes for all events in the session and building a notes package that will be sent to the client. • Transcoding master footage into other formats • Organizing viewing media (ex. QT's and DVD's) • Uploading/transmission of all media created in the session as per project specific requirements • Managing and organizing LTO backups • Other duties as required This position requires rotating shift work including night time and graveyard shifts. Overtime may be required. Qualifications: • Familiarity with leading dailies software such as SCRATCH, Express Dailies, or Cortex Dailies • Familiarity with Avid and Adobe Premiere • Knowledge of Mac OSX and Windows operating systems • Ability to troubleshoot problems effectively • Demonstrated competence and understanding of video standards, file formats and technical documents • Able to discern small details in the footage using eyes and ears • Ability to remain focused for extended periods of time on detail-oriented tasks • Flexibility to work different shifts may be required J-18808-Ljbffr
