Job Description Customer Service Mail Couriers are a moving piece to the operations of the mailroom. Responsible for processing the mail and parcels continuously throughout the day and delivery and pick-up of mail onsite using a company van. A Customer Service Mail Courier’s daily tasks will involve: Delivering all inbound mail, packages, and freight into mailroom, package lockers or mutually accepted location. Collecting proper signatures for deliveries to customers utilizing on site tracking software. Collecting all outbound mail and packages from the mailroom. Ensuring customers have an adequate supply of shipping materials. Maintaining all logs and reporting documentation. Effectively communicating with clients and personnel. Driving a company vehicle to perform pick-up/delivery service for customers while assigned to an assigned route or on an as-needed basis. Loading and unloading packages from the company vehicle. Responsibilities: Perform various Mail Center activities (sorting, metering, folding, inserting, delivery, pickup, etc.). Lift heavy boxes, files, or paper when needed. Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude. Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high-volume, production environment. Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines. Adhere to all safety procedures. Take direction from supervisor or site manager. Participate in cross-training and perform other duties as assigned (Filing, outgoing shipments, etc.). Operate mailing, copy, or scanning equipment. Handle time-sensitive material like confidential, urgent packages. Perform other tasks as assigned. Scan incoming mail to recipients. Perform file purges and pulls. Create files and ship files. Provide backfill when needed. Enter information daily into spreadsheets. Identify charges and match them to billing. Sort and deliver mail and small packages. May be required to drive to make client deliveries. Qualifications You need great people skills, patience, and the ability to multi-task to succeed in this job. Other aspects of your background will include: Minimum of 1 year customer service experience. Must be at least 21 years old. Microsoft Office Skills. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs occasionally. Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean DMV record.
