Cook Turn your job into a career with EmpRes Job Summary: Polson Health and Rehabilitation Center is currently looking for a Cook to join our dietary department. We believe breakfast, lunch, and dinner should be healthy, delicious, and fun. Our enhanced dining program provides culinary excellence. Essential Functions: Prepare pre-planned cycle menus in an efficient and effective manner. Perform food preparation tasks as assigned. Ability to read production orders on tray cards. Determine if the food prepared is of the highest possible quality in taste and flavor. Assist in planning cooking schedules. Confirm foods are ready on time for tray service. Maintain and improve standards of food storage, preparation, and services. Assist in checking food supplies on food order forms. Push carts to halls or kitchen. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrates knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic methods of food preparation and storage. Interpersonal skills. Demonstrates competency in operating kitchen equipment. Moderate to heavy lifting (50-pound maximum), bending, reaching, and stooping. Education, Licensure, and Experience: Required: Current Food Handlers card (or ability to obtain one) issued by local Health Department.
