Job Description Job Description LOD is actively seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support one of our corporate clients for an on-site assignment in Washington, DC. This contract is expected to last through the rest of 2024 with the potential to extend, and will pay $30/hour . Responsibilities: Support the initial screening and uploading of third parties as part of the Kroll implementation process. Administrative tasks on JAMIS including but not limited to billing, expense report creation and reconciliation, and travel coordination. Supports legal and policy research under the supervision of Senior Managers of Risk and Compliance. Provide logistical support and calendar management in planning and implementing large virtual or in-person meetings, trainings, and learning exchanges. Assist with document management including final stage editing and formatting, organizing the Legal SharePoint, and uploading final documents to the Public Legal SharePoint. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required International Relations, International Business, Economic Development, Finance, Political Science, or Public Policy. Minimum one year of administrative office experience required. Proficiency in MS-Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook. Demonstrated experience conducting data entry to disburse payments to individuals, suppliers, and partners. Customer service orientation with an ability to work confidentiality. Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner. Strong English writing abilities, critical thinking skills, and analytical skills. Flexibility to collaborate with a diverse team or work independently and deliver consistent, reliable results Detail oriented and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work efficiently with colleagues, donors, or partners in different timezones. LOD offers non-attorney flexible talent placement rates that range from $15 to $100 per hour depending upon experience level and specific skills requested by the client, the candidate’s general skill set, applicability of candidate skill set to client need, client budget, number of hours requested, and other factors. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role.
