Job Description The Congregation Outreach Coordinator serves as the primary coordinator and executor of the vision for Mariners Outreach at their assigned congregation. With direct support from the Outreach Multiplication Pastor, and collaboration with the congregation Discipleship Pastor, this individual will serve as a dynamic leader that is passionate about engaging the city, serving vulnerable communities, building teams, and recruiting leaders that equip their teams to serve in impactful ways. There are two positions available based out of the Mariners Huntington Beach and Mariners Santa Ana congregations. Through recruiting and leading a team of volunteers, the Congregation Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for the following: City Engagement: Build/Maintain relationships with local organizations, school officials, city staff, neighborhood leaders, etc. so as to facilitate partnerships and leverage opportunities for working together. Execute annual efforts for teacher appreciation and school partnerships. Events&Programs: Implement and maintain on-site and off-site events and programs that meet the needs of the community, Outreach Ministries, and Mariners Church. (Food Pantry, ESL, etc) Leadership Development: Identify, train, and empower volunteers and ministry leaders to run programs and events. Direct supervision and care of volunteers serving at their corresponding location. Administration: Fulfill administrative responsibilities like logging program attendance, reviewing metrics, financial updates, etc. Oversee operations of the building in regards to Outreach programming and events including facility use and program schedule. Qualifications 3-5 years experience working with at-risk populations, B.A. preferred Demonstrated ability to develop volunteers Ability to self-manage flexible schedule with some evening and weekend hours Skilled at developing cross-functional collaborations and partnerships both internally and externally Ability to drive progress while discerning God’s plans and adapting Work Schedule / Location Most Saturdays, some Sundays Some weekday evenings Office from Mariners Irvine 2 days a week Additional Information All Mariners Church Staff: Love Jesus and call themselves Christians.
