Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients. This position is essential for supporting nursing staff and enhancing the overall patient experience in various healthcare settings. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates. Provide support in medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff. Engage with patients to provide emotional support and companionship, particularly in behavioral health settings. Assist with outpatient care by preparing patients for examinations and procedures. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, especially for individuals with developmental disabilities. Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies while following established protocols. Skills Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding basic medical terminology. Experience or familiarity with medication administration practices. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families. Knowledge of emergency medicine procedures and protocols. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being capable of working independently when necessary. Compassionate approach towards working with individuals with behavioral health challenges or developmental disabilities. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly OR systems like Epic is a plus.
