The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including acute care, pediatrics, and hospice care. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff. Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals. Provide catheter care and assist with other medical procedures as needed. Maintain accurate medical documentation using eClinicalWorks or similar systems. Support children in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) environment with empathy and understanding. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans. Ensure a clean and safe environment for all patients by adhering to infection control protocols. Requirements Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Experience in acute care or pediatrics is preferred; familiarity with hospice care is a plus. Proficiency in medical documentation practices and electronic health records (eClinicalWorks experience is advantageous).
