Position overview Position title: Assistant Professor and Associate Professor Salary range: The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. The on-scale salary range for this position is $102,500-$139,400. 'Off-scale salaries' and other components of pay are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions. Position description The School of Nursing and Chicano Studies Research Center at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant and Associate Professor of Nursing. Candidates must hold a PhD in nursing or related fields and demonstrate exceptional promise as a principal investigator. We specifically seek scholars with expertise in or experience serving Latinx communities in the United States. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to addressing questions related to Latinx health across the life course and/or ethnic/racial equity in Latinx health and healthcare in the United States. Successful applicants are expected to develop a nationally recognized program and collaborate across disciplines to develop research initiatives promoting research and leadership for Latino/a communities. Applicants must have the potential to serve as PI on multidisciplinary research teams. Preferred qualifications include a potential or track record of peer-reviewed publications, potential or track record of extramural grant funding (e.g. NIH), and a research focus on primary care, community partnered and/or participatory research, or adult gerontology with a focus on Latino/a populations. Candidates must meet the academic and scholarly credentials to qualify for a tenure-track appointment at UCLA at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, earned research doctorate (PhD in nursing or related field). Candidates who are nurses (i.e., current licensure or eligible for current licensure in California as a Registered Nurse) are preferred, or who are conducting applied research in other fields with direct relevance to nursing and healthcare. A postdoctoral fellowship is preferred. For candidates who are nurse practitioners (APRN), national certification in adult gerontology primary, adult gerontology acute care or other advanced practice areas of nursing is preferred.
