Job Responsibilities Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position provides the cleaning and portering services throughout the University complex. This position requires work hours Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Essential Functions Provides cleaning and portering services in both academic&residential University buildings. Removes recyclables and trash in accordance with University procedures. Delivers mail in the buildings. Rearranges furniture and performs small move jobs when requested. Keeps building entrances and perimeters free of leaves, garbage, etc., as the need arises. Must sign in and out for all keys. Other duties as required. Management Responsibilities Not responsible for supervision or oversight of others. Required Qualifications: Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of six months of prior cleaning experience. Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills Must be able to read English and follow written instructions. Must have knowledge of general cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance, including standard use of power washers, standup vacuums&backpack vacuums.
