Focus: Lead the execution of civil engineering projects, including but not limited to residential and commercial land development. Prepare and evaluate civil engineering design plans, specifications, and calculations for grading, stormwater management, sanitary systems, utilities, and infrastructure. Ensure projects meet all relevant codes and standards, while adhering to the specified scope, timeline, and budget. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring quality control and fostering professional growth. Develop and manage client relationships, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and addressing any issues that may arise. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, contractors, and external stakeholders, to achieve project objectives. Lead the preparation and review of technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates. Ensure compliance with project safety protocols, environmental regulations, and other legal requirements. Skill Set: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program (EAC/ABET, CEAB). Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil Engineering. 8-12 years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience, with a focus on land development, utilities, and infrastructure. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and project management software. In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including sanitary and improvement districts (S&ID), public improvement plan layouts, and subdivision development procedures. Extensive knowledge in regional design standards, local public agency procedures, and financing mechanisms pertinent to public and private developments. Strong leadership and team management skills, including mentoring and performance management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to manage client relationships. Experience managing large-scale projects, including coordinating with multiple teams and stakeholders.
