Job Description

We are looking for Charity Ambassadors who can help us raise awareness and increase our income. We attend local events from Fetes to large County Shows and 999 Days, or maybe you will find us at a local supermarket with our buckets Our Charity Ambassadors are important as you will help us reach new people, inspire new fundraising activity and attend more local events. As a Charity Ambassador you will be called on to help with activities such as: Attending local events to increase our fundraising efforts Represent us at local events, such as Volunteering Fairs Support us at our large-scale events Support CFRs at local CPR awareness events Put posters up around your local town If you can give us minutes or hours, a few days a week or a month we will be very grateful for everything that you can do and bring to the Charity. Therefore continuing our support to fully fund our CFR volunteers and increase our health and wellbeing support to members of staff. Volunteer role Charity Ambassador Volunteer manager Senior Fundraising Officer Where you will be based Community Why we want you South Central Ambulance Charity raises funds to support South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS). All the monies raised by the Charity are used to fund services, projects and equipment that is not supplied by Government NHS Funding. Our Charity Ambassador team help us to achieve this. As a Charity Ambassador, you will be within a team who are able to respond to a variety of requests from the Fundraising Team, giving you flexible volunteering and an opportunity to contribute to an ever-growing charity. What you will be doing Help with event preparation Help at our Charity events Support at externally organised events Support the Fundraising Team Talk to members of the public about South Central Ambulance Charity Inspire your community about the work we do Champion South Central Ambulance Charity in your community Help with the promotion of our events The skills you need Friendly and happy to speak to members of the public Honest and reliable Enthusiastic about volunteering Happy to represent South Central Ambulance Charity Initiative while out representing South Central Ambulance Charity What's in it for you An opportunity to expand your own skills and knowledge of Emergency First Aid Appropriate induction and training for your role Agreed travel expenses A branded t-shirt for use at events Gain experience within the charity sector Opportunity to complete the National Volunteer Certificate Basic Life Saving Skills Disclaimer You will need to complete an induction course and online e-learning within 6 weeks of starting with us. Please note we are currently recruiting in order to build a large team in preparation for our fundraising plans in 2023, therefore requests may be sporadic at this time.
