The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of surgical tech experience and be proficient in orthopedics, scrubbing, and working with the Da Vinci surgical system. Scrub in and assist during surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment. Maintain sterile conditions and assist in infection control protocols. Assist surgeons with instruments and supplies during surgical operations. Ensure that all surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and functioning properly. Perform routine OR duties as assigned by RN or Charge Nurse. Actively contribute to maintaining a safe and sterile surgical environment. Precept new staff members as requested. Respond promptly to emergency situations when called in, arriving within 30 minutes. Required Qualifications: Certification: Must be a certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through an accredited program. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Operating Room. Special Skills: Experience with orthopedic surgeries and Da Vinci robotic systems. BLS: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Travel Experience: Previous travel experience preferred. Flexibility: Ability to work 2-8 hour shifts and 2-12 hour shifts, with rotating weekends and holidays. Knowledge: Must be knowledgeable in the sterilization and disinfection of surgical equipment and instrumentation. Preferred Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Certified Surgical Technologist program. Previous experience precepting or mentoring new staff. New York State LPN license eligibility is a plus.
