Responsibilities Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Stepdown Per Diem, Day shift position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center began in 1965. Since then, the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. It is a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus, certified by The Joint Commission, employing more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers. Reporting to the Director, the mental health worker/certified nurse assistant will assist in the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health of patients assigned to his/her care. Responsibilities include: Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Promoting wellness and health education. Documenting patient activities clearly. Providing personal hygiene care for adult and geriatric patients. Monitoring vital signs and applying ice bags and K-Pads. Assisting patients with therapeutic exercises and using incentive spirometers. Providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients. Offering emotional support and documenting interventions. Qualifications CNA Job Requirements: Must have current, valid Certified Nurses Assistant certification, or be currently enrolled in an accredited Registered Nursing program with completion of the 1st clinical curriculum semester. Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required through the American Heart Association.
