Expeditors is headquartered in Seattle, Washington. The District Health and Safety, Security Manager takes the lead on all health and safety-related and security-related matters. The District Health and Safety, Security Manager demonstrates proactiveness in anticipating risks regarding health and safety and security. Main Responsibilities Supporting full implementation of Expeditors health and safety, security standards in all areas of the respective district facilities. Serving as key point of contact for health and safety, security operational process standards. Drive health and safety, security standards, awareness, compliance, and implementation of all health and safety, security-related matters. Coordinate timely completion (within 90 days) of outstanding health and safety, security corrective actions/preventive actions with appropriate parties, and communicate issues to the District Manager and Regional health and safety, security Manager/Director. Take the lead on all district health and safety, security incident investigations, in coordination with Regional and CHQ health and safety, security. Support Business Continuity Plan development and testing. Own and report on all health and safety, security-related communication. Influencing colleagues and service providers to consider health and safety and security in all aspects of operations. Delivering health and safety, security training (district instructor-led courses). Be a part of the District Business Review meeting to discuss health and safety, security-related issues, concerns, and best practices. Coach employees and management on how to complete incident reporting per the health and safety, security incident reporting standard. Facilitate the development of a health and safety, security-conscious mindset within the district. Communicate health and safety, security standards in detail levels according to job functions. Attend the District health and safety, security Manager conference calls, as required. Knowledge: Expeditors company policies and procedures knowledge. Thorough understanding of local health and safety, security regulations. Skills: Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, and effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results. Very detail-oriented&strong analytical skills. Proven negotiation skills&ability to have a strategic approach to business opportunities. Behaviours: Emotional resilience.
