Position Overview: The Information Security group at Freddie Mac has an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in bringing their passion, dedication, and analytical experience to support the Identity&Access Management (IAM) group. The Authentication Engineer will have a comprehensive understanding of the IAM standards, industry-wide best practices, and tools. The individual will be responsible for day-to-day operational activities on the PING platform and working closely with business partners to onboard applications on the IAM platform and maintain appropriate processes and governance to manage and proactively identify issues, partner with technology, and collaborate with multiple teams on remediation, standardization, and automation. Our Impact: We partner across several business lines to support enterprise Single Sign-On, Multifactor Authentication, Application onboarding efforts, including Ping configuration management, and end users' Web access management needs. Your Impact: Good understanding of Authentication and Authorization. Competency in supporting installation, configuration, SSO integration with PingFederate/PingAccess. Experience with SAML, OAuth and OpenID Protocol and WAM(Gateway) Integrations. Automation experience using Ansible/Python/Shell Scripts. Knowledge of Ping One API’s to support MFA. Experience with ITIL processes for Change, Incident, Problem and Release Management. Knowledge of LDAP server (PingDirectory and PingDirectoryProxy). Understanding of load balancing, clustering, high availability and disaster recovery. Basic understanding of certificates, SSL handshakes, encryption. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Java programming with PingFederate and Ping Access API would be an added benefit. Good exposure to UI technologies (like Angular, JavaScript, CSS, Velocity Framework) to enhance UI pages. Qualifications: 5 Years IAM (Web Access Management) experience working on large, complex, cross-division or cross-enterprise programs. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Development experience with understanding processes and building solutions for it (understanding requirements, tool configurations, building connectors, SDLC process/testing, deploying). Automation experience. Experience building APIs. Scripting experience, Python is preferred. Hands-on experience in Identity&Access Management using PING IDENTITY products suite, preferred but not required. This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $98,000 - $146,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
