Job Overview Business Segment: Group Functions Location: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, Baker Street 30 To execute the audit process effectively within relevant stakeholder environments by demonstrating a clear understanding to independently and objectively provide assurance and advice that enables client-centric risk management. Responsibilities Build strong relationships with relevant internal stakeholders to understand the business and enable the assurance process. Contribute to assessing and identifying practices in the scope of audit projects which negatively impact client experience and raise recommendations to improve client experience. Adhere to GIA methodology, policies and procedures. Execute in accordance with GIA methodology data-led audit testing to assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls, determine audit findings and residual risk, and agree remediation to address root causes. Contribute to identifying and implementing effective use cases of data in automated assurance. Qualifications Relevant Degree (Internal Audit, Risk Management, Business, Commerce, Statistics, Data Science) - Min Membership to a professional body such as IIA, SAICA, IOBSA - Min CIA / CA (SA) (Completed or ongoing) - Pref Experience Required 4 Years min 1 - 2 Years: Experience analysing and interpreting data and understanding of basic IT controls. 2 - 3 Years: General business or banking audit experience. 1 - 2 Years: Exposure working in Credit, Risk or Finance units. Competencies Articulating Information: Effectively expressing ideas and concerns, giving presentations, and showing confidence in interactions. Meeting Timescales: Adhering to time scales and meeting deadlines reliably. Developing Expertise: Being open to learning and maintaining an efficient learning rate. Audit Report Writing: Summarising results of audit reviews into findings and recommendations for management. Internal Auditing: Following a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve risk management and governance processes. IA Technology Application: Utilising technology to source and analyse data supporting the internal audit process.
