Columbiana Centre COLUMBIA, SC 29212, USA Description Summary Buckle is seeking experienced and talented individuals who desire to take their skills to the next level. As an Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager, you will work directly with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to develop sales, recruit new Teammates, and provide leadership. You will also share responsibility for training and motivating Teammates and act as the Store Manager in their absence. Sales Generation and Guest Service Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, and provide legendary service to each Guest. Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise. Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs and desires. Anticipate and fulfill Guest’s needs by suggesting additional items. Demonstrate product utilizing product knowledge and sales education. Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices. Achieve personal sales-per-hour and total net sales goals set by Store Management. Provide legendary service throughout the store in key areas. Lead by example with a high level of showmanship and excellent customer service. Coachable; consistently welcomes feedback from Manager to improve sales presentations. Plan sales goals with Store Manager. Demonstrate ownership of store’s sales performance. Teammate Recruiting, Training, and Development Recognize recruiting opportunities and coach new Teammates. Maintain a positive attitude and create a positive floor culture. Motivate Teammates to initiate and complete daily tasks set by Store Management. Assist Store Manager in Recruitment of all store staffing needs. Partner with Store Manager to delegate and implement focus all week. Own and influence product through zone ownership. Operations Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Understand and utilize planner including completion of Opening and Closing Checklists. Follow all Loss Prevention guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable store. Supervisory and Leadership Comfortable in giving and receiving feedback from peers and Management. Supportive of Leadership and promote personal and store growth. Handle all schedule changes in a positive and professional manner. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Qualifications Relocation may be required. No visa sponsorship is available. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel, including overnight as required.
