Summary Saint Xavier University invites applicants for adjunct faculty in the Mathematics Department. Responsibilities include teaching introductory (100-level) general education and service courses (college algebra, trigonometry, finite mathematics, statistics), elementary math education courses, and first-year Calculus courses. Evidence of exemplary teaching or teaching potential at the college level is preferred. Essential Duties&Responsibilities Teach courses as assigned. Prepare syllabi and course materials, use Canvas to post course documents, activities, and grades, hold regular office hours, provide support and guidance to students, and communicate with students and colleagues in a timely manner. Demonstrate excellence in teaching with a focus on active, engaged learning. Work with the department chair and other math faculty to assure quality and consistency across courses and programs. Participate and assist the department in the assessment of general education mathematics courses. Qualifications A Master's degree in Mathematics is required; a Ph.D. in Mathematics is preferred.
