Acquisition Logistician, Senior Key Role: Serve as the focal point for planning, managing, and coordinating life cycle logistics support. Develop and communicate logistics requirements that have far-reaching consequences for logistics design. Lead in the implementation and maintenance of information, including status for technology-based hardware and software assets. Serve as the technical advisor on contracts. Apply advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Provide thorough and proper logistics inputs to supportability for our future weapon systems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members. Basic Qualifications: 6 years of experience in acquisitions in the DoD Experience developing Life Cycle Support Plans (LCSP) and supportability milestones Knowledge of DoD acquisition, maintenance requirements, and organizational functions involved in logistical support Knowledge of logistical requirements in support of program decision milestones Ability to develop and analyze data to determine logistic objectives and goals, identify support requirements, including funding and technical support requirements, and establish relationships between the participants involved in deploying the plan Ability to travel up to 25% of the time Ability to obtain a security clearance Bachelor’s degree Additional Qualifications: Experience with weapon systems product support subject matter Knowledge of the Army’s Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and Tank Automotive&Armaments and Joint Munitions Commands (TACOM&JMC) Knowledge of MIL-HDBK-502 Acquisition Handbook Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
